Review IT303 "The Theme Park" Project

This project is one of the most stressful one I have had to complete. Our assignment was to create our own theme park and create five different tasks to advertise the theme park. We had to create a leaflet, poster, website, and a power point to promote our theme park. I found it difficult to do some of the tasks as I forgot how to use the program.

My theme park is called Anime Park. This is a theme park where the rides and entertainment are all related to any anime or manga (Japanese animation and Japanese comics) series. The task I enjoyed the most was probably the poster, because I like to play with Photoshop and I find it fun to blend pictures together. One of the challenges in this project is to use Dreamweaver. I couldn’t remember how to do most of the links and pages, so I needed a lot of help from my friends. Another challenge was to finish this project on time. We had three weeks to finish this assignment, but it did not feel that long and I am happy that I managed to finish it on time.

In completing this project, I have learnt how to use various programs better and I have used different new skills to complete it. The project was really hard, but it was fun at the same time.

For this task, we had to create short two minute clip about the school rules. For example: uniform policy, cyber bullying and school camps. Once we have finished that, we decided to choose a few clips to present it to the year 7 students.

I found it quite interesting and fun to use this to make an animation clip. There were lots of characters to choose from, and some of them even pronounce the words weirdly (which kinda made me laugh). There are camera angles, body actions and sound effects to choose from too. The body actions that they do were all quite dramatic, and it was quite enjoyable to watch them do it too.

There were some technical difficulties that happened though. Some of the classmates had troubles playing and editing the clip. It takes quite a bit of time for it to load and people can lose their patience :\ aaand then close the window D:

Wiki & Web 2.0 Tool Presentation

Our class created a wiki, and we were to choose a web 2.0 application to research and present about. I chose to research on a website called GoAnimate!

I thought my research page on my wiki was quite alright, but I thought my presentation was a little bit short. I enjoyed browsing through the website and trying to figure out how it worked. I later learnt how to make some animations on the website, and I was quite excited about it. (It was the randomest animation clip I have ever made in my life) The presentation itself freaked me out, and that was probably one of my worst presentations in school T__________T'' I didn't think i talked for long enough, and that no one had any ideas what this website is about. sorry.. ;_; but I hoped that everyone enjoyed it. Multimedia Photoshop Challenge (Part 2 - Collage Creation)

This is a collage of my awesome, awesome friends ^_____^ I used the lasso tool to blend them together, then I changed the effects on the separate pictures and tried to find whats best for it.

Multimedia Photoshop Challenge (Part 1 - Magazine Cover)

This is the magazine cover I've made out of the pictures I posted before ^^ I FINISHED IT~ :D
Firstly, I used the lasso tool to cut out the 3 girls from the original picture, then I changed the colour of their uniform. I played a little with the colours, and decided that this was the best colour ^^ After that, I did the same to the other pictures, and pasted it around my background, aanddd TA-DA~ my magazine cover :D 
I think I've done quite well, as this is the first time I'm using Photoshop. Quite happy with it ^^

PNG, JPEG & GIF

PNG - Portable Network Graphics: is used to improve and replace GIF images as an image-file format. It supports palette-based, greyscale, greyscale with alpha, RGB, or RGBA images. PNG was designed to import images onto the internet.

JPEG - Joint Photographic Experts Group: is a commonly used method of lossy compression for photographic images.

Lossy - Original image information that has been lost cannot be restored

GIF - Graphics Interchange Format: is a bitmap image format. It supports up to 8 bits per pixel, and this allows a single image to reference a palette of up to 256 distinct colors.

Depending of what kind of image you wanted, all these formats would be good for all of them. If you wanted an animated image, you would use the GIF format.

^^ had a choice of making a picture with whatever i wanted today ^__^ .. couldnt think of anything before.. hm.. and then i thought of ONION TOU >:D muahhahaha..

This image is about.. uh.. onions playing soccer. o.o As you can see, the background is a soccer pitch ^^ I tried to show some humour in this picture.. by showing some players charging at the poor goalkeeper, having a lil dude at the corner driking from a carton and a dude on a cloud. (:

I learnt how to use various tools in photoshop, like the lasso tool and the pen tool.

My favourite part of completing this task is placing all the onion tou on the picture.. aand trying to add a lil humour to it.. but i dont really think its that funny >_>
